Elegant and powerful, optimised for heating – MSZ-LN/MUZ-LN-VGHZ

Introducing the Mitsubishi Electric designer air conditioner – the MSZ-LN wall-mounted indoor unit combined with the MUZ-LN-VGHZ series outdoor unit. It is the perfect harmony of design, efficiency and low noise. Units with Hyperheating technology offer fully fledged, energy-saving heating by air conditioner, tested in demanding conditions. Wall-mounted air conditioners from this premium range come with a backlit display on the IR remote control, which is included in the price of the unit. The units can also be used in a multi-split configuration. The outdoor unit is optimised for economical heating and has been tested in the Nordic countries. It is able to heat efficiently and reliably at outdoor temperatures down to -25 °C. The improved design of the outdoor unit minimises freezing of condensate in its lower part. The air conditioner uses the eco-friendly refrigerant R32. This is a new type of refrigerant which, unlike R410A, reduces environmental impact by 68%, is easier to recycle and delivers higher efficiency. Available in 4 colour versions: natural white, pearl white, onyx black and ruby red, with an IR remote control matching the colour of the unit. It is suitable for family houses and apartment buildings, weekend cottages, churches, warehouses, business premises, schools, sports halls and more.

Premium designer air conditioner

The MSZ-LN wall-mounted unit attracts attention not only with its design, but also combines a range of innovative features. For example, it has two independently operating air outlet vanes – you can direct the airflow in different directions. The 3D i-see sensor automatically detects the number and position of people in the room, measures surface temperature and adjusts the unit's output and airflow according to needs and requirements so that the space is heated perfectly. Unlike conventional air conditioning systems, the LN series does not lose heating capacity when it is cold outside. Original technologies ensure excellent heating performance at extremely low outdoor temperatures thanks to the new Mitsubishi HyperHeating technology and an impressive guaranteed operating range. LN series outdoor units are fitted with a high-performance compressor that delivers increased heating capacity at low outdoor temperatures. High energy efficiency in energy class A+++ applies to all versions with capacities from 2,5 to 5,0 kW. With indoor units that combine functionality, design and capacity, and outdoor units equipped with a highly efficient compressor, the MUZ-LN VGHZ achieves both high heating performance and energy savings. Anti-freeze heating is fitted as standard. The anti-freeze heater limits reduced performance and operational shutdowns caused by freezing of drain water. This supports stable operation in low-temperature environments.

HyperHeating – optimised for heating

The air conditioner offers unique hyper-heating, Mitsubishi HyperHeating technology with heating down to -30°C, also usable in multi-split systems. The powerful RW series compressor achieves a remarkable maximum heating capacity at low ambient temperatures with high energy efficiency – pleasant warmth with low electricity consumption. It ranks in the highest efficiency class under the upcoming new, stricter requirements. Despite its high output, this air conditioner will reduce your electricity consumption, giving you a comfortably heated home at a lower cost, and it can also heat large interior areas. The new range of MSZ-RW wall-mounted indoor units enables heating down to -30°C and delivers 100% capacity down to -25°C. The RW series ensures maximum continuous heating operation with less frequent defrost cycles, maintaining a pleasant indoor environment over the long term without temperature fluctuations. Field tests at selected cold locations in Sweden and Norway showed high user satisfaction with the air exchange volume and especially with the remarkable heating performance of the RW series. As the test results show, the RW series provides stable indoor comfort even at extremely low ambient temperatures. The outdoor units have directly integrated heating of the condensate tray during defrosting. These units are available from 2,5 kW.

Sophisticated 3D I-see sensor

I-see is a 3D sensor with a sophisticated design that blends discreetly into the shape of the indoor unit. It measures the room temperature using an infrared sensor and is also able to detect the position of people. This allows you to define your preferred airflow – direct or indirect airflow relative to the people in the room. Using the sensor, the supply air can be directed towards people, away from people, or evenly into the area where people tend to spend time. The I-see sensor can also be used for additional energy saving: the unit automatically reduces heating output when the sensor no longer detects anyone in the space. Heating operation resumes normally once the sensor detects a person in the room again.

Plasma Quad filter for cleaner air

PQP is a complete air purification unit which, together with a deodorising filter, creates a better indoor environment for the whole family. It comes with a premium Plasma Quad filter that improves the air quality in your home. As air passes through the filter, mould spores, allergens, bacteria, dust, viruses and harmful particles from air pollutants are captured. Through electrostatic charging, the filtration system breaks down the particles trapped in the filter. The electrostatic charge acts as a curtain, ​​stopping more than 90% of unhealthy particles – mould spores and allergens – while also cleaning the air of dust. The filter not only captures but also neutralises microscopic suspended particles, acting on them as an electrical barrier. By generating and then discharging a high-voltage electric field, this technology captures and inactivates viruses and removes contaminants passing through the filter. According to the manufacturer, Plasma Quad Plus effectively removes 99% of viruses, bacteria and mould, 98% of allergens (e.g. pollen), 97% of dust mites and dust, and 99% of suspended particulate matter (PM2,5) from the air, while also eliminating and neutralising odours.

New HyperHeating MUZ-LN-VGHZ outdoor unit

For both split and multi-split configurations

The air conditioners offer flexible connection options. One indoor unit can be connected to one outdoor unit – this is a split configuration. If you have several rooms, the ideal solution is a multi-split system – in this case several indoor units are connected to a single outdoor condensing unit. These can be of different capacities and types. Conventional outdoor unit models are unable to maintain their standard rated heating capacity, which makes it difficult to provide heating when outdoor air temperatures are low, and drain water  freezes in severe frost. However, the standard rated heating capacity of the LN-VGHZ series is maintained even when the outdoor air temperature drops below –15°C, and it maintains high performance at much lower outdoor temperatures – even below -25°C. The new MXZ-LN-VGHZ hyper-heating lets you create an oasis of comfort throughout your home and office in the rooms you use most, at any time of year, even in a multi-split system.

Efficient airflow

Indoor airflow control by the indoor unit is divided into two parts – vertical and horizontal. Air can be directed to the right, left, up and down simultaneously. Warm air can thus be distributed efficiently and without draughts to all rooms. The air controls of an indoor unit installed by a staircase can be used to direct heat to the upper and lower floors at the same time.

Integrated Wi-Fi control and MELCloud

The indoor unit has an integrated Wi-Fi adapter that lets you control your heat pump from mobile devices or a computer from anywhere. With remote access you know what the temperature is inside, and you can lower it, for example when you go on holiday, and heat the interior so that it is comfortable just as you arrive home.

MEL Cloud is a new generation of cloud-based control for Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning, heating and heat-recovery ventilation products. MEL Cloud gives users easy control of their units, whether they are out and about or just lying on the sofa at home. MEL Cloud provides live controls, scenes, and weekly and seasonal timers, offering complete flexibility in controlling several Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning, heating or heat-recovery ventilation systems from a single device or location. To connect each air conditioning indoor unit, heating system or heat-recovery ventilation system to MEL Cloud, an official Mitsubishi Electric Wi-Fi interface is required. The Wi-Fi interface connects to your local router via a wireless connection. 

A wide range of the latest personal computers (PCs), tablets and smartphones from leading manufacturers can access the MELCloud service. The application simply detects which device you are using and dynamically adapts the display to make the most of the available screen. MELCloud supports all major mobile device manufacturers, either through dedicated apps that you can download free of charge or via the MELCloud web application in an internet browser. 

MELCloud lets you take control of your Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan heating systems from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet access. So forgetting to switch off the heating when you are away from home or on holiday is no longer a problem. MELCloud also provides some new features such as localised weather information, frost protection, a 7-day multi-programmable timer and a holiday mode, with further features planned for the future. MELCloud has been designed for a wide range of applications, from individual users or heating systems to larger users who may have multiple properties or systems they wish to monitor and control. Whatever type of user you are, MELCloud can give you the control and access you need. 

Colour wired touch controller with Bluetooth

The PAR-CT01MAA-PB is an optional (available to order separately) colour wired touch controller with Bluetooth. The controller offers the option of uploading your own logo. Suitable for hotels and commercial premises. The elegant and versatile PAR-CT01MAA wired remote controller could, with a little exaggeration, be described as a technical all-rounder. Thanks to its colour touch display and optional Bluetooth interface, it offers great flexibility, especially in terms of colour settings and operation. The remote controller is available in a white plastic version and a black aluminium and plastic version. This remote controller can be easily configured using an app (version with BLE interface). When setting up the display, you can freely choose from more than 180 colour setting variants, allowing optimal adjustment to suit the surroundings. Linked graphics allow individual customisation of the remote controller (version with BLE interface). It can control up to 16 units in one group. In addition to the standard operating modes, a daily and weekly schedule is also available.
