Hybrid inverter control

When the difference between the desired and the current temperature is large, the inverter switches to PAM mode, delivers high output and thus quickly reaches the desired comfort. When the difference between these temperatures is smaller, the inverter switches to PWM mode. In this mode the electrical power input required is minimal and efficiency is maximal. Many inverter air-conditioning units use at least one of these control methods. But only the TOSHIBA DC hybrid inverter integrates both technologies in parallel, achieving optimal results as a result.

Twin rotary compressor

The advantages of inverter technology are further optimised in combination with TOSHIBA twin rotary compressors. Operating in a range of 20 % – 100 % of output, they allow excellent speed control.

Dust filter

As standard, all TOSHIBA air-conditioning units are equipped with large, washable plastic filters that cover the entire heat exchanger. Air is cleaned of coarse dirt and dust particles as soon as it enters the unit.

Plasma filter

The TOSHIBA plasma filter is an electric air purifier that works in two stages. It filters the smallest particles and achieves an efficiency that conventional filtration systems cannot match, as its electrostatic cells are able to remove up to 99% of all pollutants from the air.

SUPER ioniser

A brand-new addition to the TOSHIBA product range is the SUPER ioniser, which works actively against pollutants together with the plasma filter. Tiny SUPER ions, just one nano-thousandth in size, surround unwanted dirt particles and neutralise them. SUPER ions also have a positive effect on the moisture and elasticity of human skin. The SUPER ioniser is built exclusively into Daiseikai 9 units and, together with the high-efficiency plasma filter, provides a perfect, clean indoor climate.

Self-cleaning function

For an air-conditioning unit to blow out clean air, it must itself be clean. That is why TOSHIBA has developed a self-cleaning system that reduces moisture inside the unit, preventing possible mould growth. After the indoor unit stops operating, its fan keeps running, drying all the moisture on the heat exchanger. The fan then switches off automatically.

Automatic selection of operation – cooling, heating or fan.

Hi – Power

HI – POWER starts an exceptionally strong airflow for rapid cooling and reaching the desired temperature.

Self-diagnostics

In the event of a fault, the unit determines the cause itself and reports its status using error codes.

Eco mode

For energy-saving operation, the room temperature, fan speed and operating mode are regulated automatically.

Quiet mode

TOSHIBA air conditioners are known for the absolutely quiet design of their indoor and outdoor units. By activating “quiet mode” you can set the fan speed to the level you want with a single button. This reduces the noise of Daiseikai and Suzumi Plus indoor units by a further 3dB(A).

Comfort sleep

At night the temperature is usually lower than during the day, and constant cooling can be perceived as disturbing. Activating the “COMFORT SLEEP” button in cooling mode allows the indoor temperature to rise by one degree Celsius per hour for two to three hours, ensuring optimal comfort while you sleep.

Toshiba Wi-Fi control

With a Wi-Fi adapter, the air conditioner can be controlled via mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets or PCs. This requires a Wi-Fi network as well as an external controller installed near/inside the air conditioner. The system is activated and controlled via an app, providing maximum convenience. (unless stated otherwise, this is an optional accessory)

Weekly timer

With 4 freely programmable settings per day, or 7 different programmes per week (on/off, temperature, operating mode and fan speed)

Auto restart

After a power failure, the air conditioner automatically switches back on with the preset settings.

8 °C background heating

The frost protection function ensures constant background heating at 8 °C.

Mode presetting

Mode presetting – saves the selected setting to memory for use the next time the unit is started.

Power selection

Limits output and thereby saves energy by 25, 50 or 75 %.

Quiet mode for the outdoor unit

In some cases you may be concerned about disturbing your neighbours with noise at night – especially in densely built-up areas or terraced houses. The Toshiba Daiseikai 9 model range features a “Silent Modes” function, which allows two quiet modes to be set for the outdoor unit of the air conditioner as well.
